Nicholas Guerrero is a seasoned education leader, policy advocate, and principal currently serving at Ravenswood Elementary School in Chicago. With over a decade of experience across the Chicago Public Schools system, Nicholas has led academic growth initiatives, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and steered schools through complex challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. His leadership has consistently earned top performance ratings, including maintaining a “Well Organized” distinction on the University of Chicago’s 5Essentials Survey. He brings a strategic and data-informed approach to school improvement, staff development, and student success—grounded in a deep understanding of Chicago’s diverse communities.

Beyond school leadership, Nicholas plays a prominent role in shaping education policy and leadership development across the city and state. He currently serves as Vice President of the Illinois Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents and Treasurer of the Latino Leadership Pipeline, where he partners with civic and philanthropic organizations to advance equity, develop emerging leaders, and influence legislative change. Additionally, as a member of The Chicago Public Education Fund’s Educator Advisory Committee, he contributes to strategies addressing teacher retention, governance, and fiscal equity. Nicholas is committed to uplifting marginalized voices and building inclusive systems that ensure every student and aspiring leader thrives.
