FAQ
-
Is Latino Leadership Pipeline (LLP) part of Chicago Public Schools?
The Latino Leadership Pipeline (LLP) is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is neither a grantee of nor vendor for Chicago Public Schools.
Given LLP’s mission to grow Latino leaders, and the concentration of Latino educators in CPS, the majority of participants in the program have been from Chicago Public Schools and we have often leveraged CPS leadership frameworks in our work.
-
Who runs LLP?
As a 501 (c) 3, not-for-profit organization LLP leadership includes a volunteer board of directors. Our mission is also supported by part-time staff and we anticipate expansion in the future.
-
Who is the program designed for?
LLP’s core audience is licensed educators holding a principal endorsement who self-identify as Latino/a. This includes classroom teachers, school administrators, and district-level roles. Within this group, we seek to support those seeking to a) expand their leadership impact and b) leverage their Latino identity as an asset to their leadership.

Can I join LLP if I live outside of the Chicago area? Outside of Illinois?
Our program, while founded in Chicago, is intended to support and grow leaders across the state. As such, our work is grounded in deep dives of Illinois data and Illinois policy, and our network is focused on identifying and creating career opportunities here.
Leaders from outside of the state are welcome to join, but should understand that our work will be set in an Illinois context, with in-person sessions that happen in and around Chicago.
