Judith Camacho-Campbell
Judy has nearly 20 years of experience working in high-need communities as an advocate for parents and students. She currently serves as the Director of Federal Affairs at CPS, managing relationships with the federal government and agencies which includes monitoring national legislation that impacts PK-12 education, liaising with district and DC offices of the IL Congressional delegation, and partnering with external stakeholders to advocate for school district needs. In her previous role at CPS in the Family and Community Engagement unit, she led the implementation of district-wide initiatives and engagement strategies for a variety of stakeholders.
Mariel Laureano
As the senior director of educator supports at The Fund, Mariel focuses on successfully designing and refining programmatic support, recruiting and selecting educators, executing new and existing programs, analyzing the impact of programming, and implementing innovative and promising practices.
She has over 23 years of experience in education. She taught across all elementary grade levels in Chicago Public Schools (CPS) for over 10 years and was the founding principal of a neighborhood CPS school for 10 years before transitioning to the charter school sector, first as deputy chief of education followed by two years as the chief education officer.
Arnie Rivera
Arnie Rivera serves as the Executive Director of the Chicago Education Alliance and brings deep leadership experience across the public and nonprofit sectors. He was formerly Chief Operating Officer of Chicago Public Schools and Chief Administrative Officer at Navy Pier, and has held senior roles shaping education policy and operations across Chicago. Arnie is a former member of the Chicago Board of Education and currently serves as Board Chairman of the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority.
